Over the past 6 years, I have documented events, live TV, and marketing campaigns and shot portraits at The Walt Disney Company & ESPN. At every single shoot, I have gravitated to the stories of women, whether it be in front of the camera, behind the camera or a face in the crowd my lens will always find them. Over the years I have photographed hundreds of women, and my perspective as a female photographer has compelled me to bring out what each photo and each moment represents. Their stories have become my story and my passion.
ForHerStory: The first women’s boxing match to headline Madison Square Garden
On April 30, 2022, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the biggest women’s fight of all time went down in the history books. Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano. Contested between undisputed world champion, Katie Taylor, and seven-division world champion, Amanda Serrano. The bout was held with Taylor’s undisputed lightweight titles on the line.
Behind the lens:
After covering many combat sports events I was thrilled to document this historic event. I challenged myself to tell the story “through the eyes of women.” When I look at these images I feel the excitement the hope, the sisterhood, and the energy from the night. This night celebrated women and I was lucky enough to capture them.
